Holiday parks in Snowdonia are a popular destination for many holidaymakers, thanks to the fantastic landscape of the national park which surrounds them.
There are a number of reasons why an investment into a holiday home is a good idea, but here are five reasons which we think are the most essential:
1. It’s More Personal
Hotels are perfect for a luxurious treat every so often, but they don’t offer the same personal experience as a holiday home. Owning a holiday home means you can bring your favourite pillows, bedding and cushions to make it a true home away from home. There might not be anyone there in the morning that is ready to replace your sheets, but it allows you to have some home comforts whilst you’re away. It also means you can leave all your favourite CDs, DVDs and books behind at the holiday home, which saves you packing as much stuff before you leave for your holiday. You can even leave spare clothes behind to really cut down on the luggage.
2. There’s More Freedom
When it comes to staying in hotels, there are often specific check-in times that must be followed in order to be allowed into your room. Getting there too early can often mean you have to wait around until your room is cleaned, wasting your valuable holiday time. With a holiday home, you can simply drive into the park at whatever time you arrive, and access your home with your own keys. There’s no waiting around or penalties for arriving too late. Hotels often have set meal times. When you’re off out enjoying your holiday, it can be difficult to keep track of time and return back to the hotel for your food. It can often restrict how far you can go in the day, as you might end up going hungry and missing out on your dinner! In holiday parks, you have the option of cooking for yourself, or enjoying at meal at the parks facilities. A lot of holiday parks have an onsite bar and restaurant, which are perfect for days when you’re too tuckered out from exploring to cook. When leaving a hotel, it’s often a mad rush in the morning making sure you’ve packed everything together, before the set check-out time. As you might expect, this stress is eliminated with your own holiday home.
3. The Location
Often, people choose to purchase holiday homes in areas where they’ve visited and enjoyed on previous holidays. As we mentioned before, the Snowdonia National Park is an incredibly popular destination, due to the landscape and stunning views. Having a holiday home in such a natural and scenic landscape means you can wake up every morning to the relaxing sights and sounds of the tranquil North Wales region. Despite being located within a peaceful and isolated area, a holiday park in Snowdonia is never too far away from towns and amenities, should you wish to get back into civilisation for a while.
4. There’s a Community
Some people go on holiday to enjoy some peace and quiet, keeping to themselves in order to gather their thoughts in a peaceful environment. Others enjoy meeting new people, and hearing interesting life stories from a range of different characters. With a holiday park, you have the choice of both, depending on what you enjoy. You can keep to yourself, or make new friends with the other residents on the park. Often, holiday parks host barbecues and other social events to get all the residents in the park talking. Having some friends on the site also means you can ask them to check on your holiday home whilst you’re away, and if you happen to forget to turn off your lights or stop taps when you leave – you have someone there to help.
5. Great Facilities
Holiday parks have a number of facilities to keep you entertained throughout the duration of your holiday.
Often, they’ll have amenities such as an onsite shop, bar games room and swimming pools to enjoy during the warmer months.
